Got a wild hair today... Going to be lots of updates coming in the next few days/weeks.
Plans are:

Cut front fenders
Cut and fold rear fenders
Front and rear bumpers

Long arm front suspension
Roof rack

All will be built/done by me.

So I just bought a 99 xj. It is in good shape and want to use for daily ride and wheel with. It has the 4.0 and 5 speed but was wondering how to get more power before I lift and get bigger tires. And recommendations? I'm also looking at the 4.5" lift.

Great looking Cherokee!

Been thinking about some flares...Not sure they'll work with my cutout fenders though.

Ended up trading the long arm lift and some other things for a jetboat. In the process of buying it all back now.

I have a 99 xj with the 4.0 and a 5 speed also. It is completely stock and am new to the 4 wheeling world. I am really excited about building it and and getting on the trails but have no idea where to start or build first? could you give me some ideas where to start?

I say get out on the trail and see what limits you...Upgrade that first, and go from there.

Had 'em in since Fri, and could not be happier with them.
Got the Trucklite LED lights. Having a problem tho. When I'm showing them off, vehicle not running, they work fine. As soon as I start it though, the brights are always on, when I turn the brights on everything flickers. Have no clue what would cause that.

Did you do anything funky with the wiring when you had the HID's? I have the TruckLites also and they were plug and play. No issues whatsoever.

Nothing, and they worked fine. I put the Putco harness on yesterday, and it's better, but still not right. I have low beam until I turn on high beam, then they will not go off until I just turn all lights off and turn them on again. Strange...
