Gonna start a build thread, as I have some plans to do a few things in the near future.
We'll start with how I came to get the XJ.
This guy pulled out in front of my family in our Durango...

He immediately got out of his truck and asked "Could you tow me just up the street?" I then saved his life, by stopping my wife from taking it from him
Cops showed up, and took him aside for a field sobriety test, that he failed, with the cop telling us he was extremely intoxicated, they just couldn't tell on what. Thankfully, Lucky (that's what I call the guy since he's lucky I stopped my wife from trying to kill him...lol) had good insurance, cuz I got way more than I thought I would for that Durango.

Then the search was on for either another Durango, or a Cherokee...

So far I've replaced a motor mount, and just put a catalytic converter on it. Also, installed a CB in it. Nothing fancy yet, just stuffed it between driver seat, and console for now, as I have plans for the dash.

Other plans are:
Trim fenders for 32's or 33's without anymore lift.
Build front and rear bumpers and rock sliders w/ spare tire carrier on rear bumper.
Possibly build roof rack, just need to come up with a design I like.
May look at long arms soon too.
Will add more as I think of it.

Couple of questions......
1) This may come off as a smart behind comment but it is not meant to be that way what so ever. That being said, when you looked at this ad, did you know what any of this means or did you just buy it cause of the looks?
2) How much you end up paying? (not trying to be nosey )
3) Finally, what CB is it? Also, what antenna is it for the CB?

Thanks a lot!!!

What a great find. Sounds like your wife and mine are alike as mine is fiery and I have had to calm her down once or twice.

Are going to wheel this rig or will it be your daily driver?

You keep your eye on Craig's List you can find gems like this once in a while.

Oh Boy! I've been awaiting your build thread. I'm looking forward to copying you on some goodies you install.
And what a great trade on the durango for the cherokee. Was it worth the accident?

Yes, I knew what most of it meant...hadn't really read up on alot of cherokee info, so one item I learned after the fact was what full lift meant. I've had years in the off-road, and fabbing things for off-roaders, world. Been mostly Samurai stuff, and I had a TJ on 35's, that I built myself, for a several years. I have a samurai I'm going to start building for a much more hardcore wheeler. Going to keep the Cherokee for mild to lightly wild, and be able to haul the kiddo's with me. The CB is just a radio shack special kit w/ magnet mount antenna my wife got me one year for x-mas. Plans are for a fiberglass whip mounted to the tire carrier once it's complete. Been out trail riding/wheeling every weekend (except the first weekend I bought it) since I bought it.

Thanks for asking. This is how we all learn

Edit: Oh...and yes I bought it for it's looks The Durango was the only non-black vehicle I've owned. I also own a black 06 Ford Fusion.

Thx! I loved that Durango for the short period of time I owned it, but definitely worth it. No-one was hurt in the slightest bit. My 1.5 year old daughter was startled for a min, but calmed down pretty quickly.

Wanted: Stock exhaust manifold...tired of the leaks, and the lack of room to get access to R&R the bolts and those stupid D shaped washers!
