i might be going sunday if you wanna hang with me and a wrangler buddy from school. are you gonna keep that rack you have?
. I was was planning on keeping the rack why do you ask? I am hoping to mount my lights up there soon. I bought all the relays and wires and some brackets just trying to get some time away from school to do it along with a million other things I want to do to my xj haha. Got any tips for wiring and stuff? How are those axles coming along that you picked up?

Cool, sounds like a good little group.
im wanting a bigger rack, i figured when you took down those lights you might be doin the same with the rack, maybe id buy it off you or something. just askin.
with the lights its a matter of doing them right the first time. my girlfriends dad helped me with them. Drill a hole above B-pillar, take off inside paneling and run carefully to fuse box and then through to firewall. took about 6 hours. dont rush it ya know. i could help if you need, some of his genius rubbed off on me that day.
waitin on 33s before i use the new 8.25; it has 4.56s

So far my buddy with the 2-door tahoe is down for Sunday and not sure about the other guy. And yea I definitely might be looking for some help when I get around to drilling holes for the wires. Did you just put caulking to seal the hole or use a bushing? And yea I'll keep an eye out for a rack you could probably sell yours pretty easily.
By the way here are some pics off my phone from the other time if you want them pretty crazy rock crawling right there haha.

cool, lookin forward to wheelin again. After we drilled he put a wiring gromet in. siliconed the outsides of it so water couldnt reside inbetween the body of the gromet and the drilled hole. then another coat of silicone at the top of the wire entrance

shots of finished product

Gonna do a bedliner to coat the inside and keep the paint from chipping where i dont want it to.
anyone wanna give advice from what theyve done?

Check my build for what I did before the bushwackers. Basically a half inch of bedliner strip of bedliner around the wheel well..gave it almost a mini flare look. It looks really good and is real easy to do.

what kind of bed liner did you use? there are too many brands and for different purposes.
anyone know what is the best to use for going over the chipped paint and inside the well of the wheel. so basically what everyone uses..

I just used a spray on bedliner...no name brand.. worked really well.
The first time I did it I used roll on and it was good but a pain in the *** and couldnt get it totally even. The spray on I found much easier, and a 2-3 coats will give you a nice durable layer.

relocated the horn on the left side. takes a really long time when you have no tools.
spent forever scrounging through our lacking tool chests
nevertheless:

the horn is attached straight down to the triangular bracket which is attached to the frame. i modified the bracket on the horn and swung it inside the triangle a relocated the bolt it hung on

Well today was the single greatest day of my life
I GRADUATED TO 33s
Took my yeep down to my girlfriends dads shop and did work on the fenders and got some new shoes from a and e tires
taped off the fronts

Then went to work with the rears

wire brushing the existing paint to bedline the fenders
