I have found a good deal on ring and pinion (4.56) on CL.
$50 for an 8.25 with limited slip and yukons. jumpin on that to have rear gears when i go to 33s. being proactive

Ive decided to go with a version of C-roks rear bumper. or maybe have it made by a local. with a rear tire carrier fabbed on.

sliders, quick disconnect doors, and 33s with a regear in the near future. i smell it!

the question is whether this is 27 or 29 spline. the 8.25 i have now is 29. if this new one is 29 i will sandblast it, paint it and stick it in. if its not 29 spline, do i not use it? is there really a difference between 27 and 29

Nah there was some guy that picked it up after, i think it was a HUGE steal for whoever got it cause it had Chromoly axle shafts in it. The guy wanted like 50 bucks for the D30. He was crazy.

he told me he had 4.56s for a 30 after i had left so i came back and he asked for 40 bucks..

Ya im wanting to have a very easy and efficient way of taking doors on and off. ill have to modify the shackles and hinges and probably cut into the door paneling to get to the electric plug. Thanks!

The cables are pretty easy. I've seen one guy I believe it was project black sky use trailer light connectors. But there is a lot of ways you can put a quick cable disconnect on your door. And my plan is to knock the straight pin out of the hinge and put in a t-pin.

96_xj's build thread post #250 for the wire idea

as far as the hinge goes, drilling it out to accept a 1/4th pin is what ive been hearing to do.

the quick disconnect on electrical might not be bad. There already is an electrical plug that you can seperate and can tuck into the door somewhere, i guess 96_xj's didnt have that as he has a pre 97 and dealt with only a speaker and not windows mirrors and locks. that lucky guy

Craigslist, Ebay and Amazon marketplace usually work out for me. Those bushwackers are definitely in a small niche market though. Let me know if you want to go wheelin any time soon man before the snow hits.
