No real update yet again. Went wheeling. Got stuck pretty good, was about a 2 foot drop off soon as the front end dropped neither of my rear tires were touching. Had to get out the passenger side, then I said screw it and let my brother be in it while it was getting pulled out.
Let him drive for a bit after that so I could get some videos. He hasn't driven offroad in years so I let him have his fun.
And stretched the legs as always... My short arms do great and I still have stock uppers... Can't wait to get my long arm get here in a few weeks still though.

Tires have done pretty darn well everywhere for me so far. Only times I've been stuck with them is when multiple wheels aren't touching the ground. The hill from the video was particularly dry too for some reason when the rest of the place was kind of sloppy.
Heres some better pictures of where I got stuck at my buddy took.
And heres the pic of it after it was pulled out. Should probably look better before attempting something
Cliffs trip coming this weekend. Plan on bringing the gopro

Somewhat of an update. Been taking care of little things the past week since it's been nice out I've actually had some motivation to work on it after work.
Monday I made the rear doors removable too. Super easy considering old style hinges and no power options. Finally hooked my front speakers back up in front doors. Thinking of doing a sound bar up front or get some cage mounted speakers so I can ditch the 2 wires left in the front doors. Also fixed the doors not sealing from sag issue I've had since I got the jeep when I made it go doorless.
Found out today the ac works great! Compressor has never kicked on since I got the jeep, assumed it needed freon. Went and got some freon today and it wouldnt take any. Jumped the compressor and it kicked on and ac worked great. The pins on fusebox itself were corroded, cleaned that up and it works great now. Kind of cool to have ac even though I'll rarely use it.
Finally got a radio antenna again too, little stick on box with a strip I have ran accross bottom windshield under the dash kinda, Works pretty good.
I need to get it in for an alignment. I rotated my tires the other day and noticed un even wear on both front inners. I did a garage alignment back in november but either I wasn't even close or it has came out since. Idk I'm waiting to see if I get that ironrock kit off my buddys friend here soon before I take it in. They just got back from harlan so hopefully we strip that jeep soon so I can get rid of this who knows how old rustys kit that came with my old jeep.
That seems to be about it... I now know why Anthony told me I'd end up re painting the part of the cage I sprayed... Passenger side bar running against gutter rail is missing a lot of paint from branches... Looks like I'll be brushing the roof this weekend!

Went wheeling again. Didn't get stuck. I did drag the driver slider over a nice rock though. Glad I don't have regular rockers anymore.
Climbed up Cody's tire. Fell off it the first time, pulled the door off and did it again.
After that decided the other door needed to come off and do some doorless wheeling
Cody got stuck
Mike got stuck

It was.
No real big updates. Well kind of. Driving home from fishing yesterday motor decided it wanted to be an *******. Sounds like its going to blow up. Checked flex plate for cracks and loose bolts, seems to be a lower end noise.
Heres a video if you want to hear it.

No, I don't lick fish.
Crap dude.... sounds like the bearing is gone. If you drop the oil pan, you'll probably find it disintegrated at the bottom of the pan.

Well once again Anthony (Emptypockets) is being a great friend. Selling me a complete bottom end for cheap, and helping me do it at his place in rockford. Borrowing a truck from my cousin and renting a uhaul to tow it out by him tomorrow. Don't know exactly when were doing it but the jeep will be back on the road soon. He said the block hes got for me had no noises or leaks so thats good. Putting a new doorman header on it and motor mounts while its out also.

That's not a friend, that's a bro. Keep him around man. Genuine friends like that are in short supply.

Quite a few updates, well the #6 cylinder was causing the issue on my old motor, and to find out it wasnt the original motor in my jeep to begin with. The head had some new valves in it, and Cylinder #4/6 had different pistons in them, and new freeze plugs all around.
Zac put the motor in for me actually ( he wont let anyone help him). Got it back around beginning of this month. Blocks out of a 94, sat in his garage for a few years. Has my head on it with a new header and another intake and fuel rail. Motor sounds great, but now it has incredibly low oil pressure, 7 at hot idle, sometimes check gauges, and 20-30 driving at 2k-3k rpms. But I'm just gunna drive it til either it ****s up or I decide to change it out..
I had an overheating problem with it, replaced the entire cooling system still have some problems it runs a little hot somtimes but its more then driveable, I've put around 600 miles on it since the motor has been in. Had to do a new tps also.
Fixed my issue losing brakes too. Exhaust was boiling rear hard brake line. My own stupidity.
Picture replacing the cooling system
Went to the mopar happening over the weekend with Rob, James, Anthony, and Zac
Me and Anthony stacking Tires on James (aresfab's) rig
Also got another sound bar from Anthony and covered it in camo again. Now I don't have any wires in my front doors from speakers anymore so is 100% just lift off all 4 now. Woo
And last night I picked up a free 4.0 off a guy from the Cherokeeforum facebook group in Elburn IL. The jeep got smashed and he pulled the head for his girlfriends 99. Head on it now is off her 99 and just bolted in place, needs valve seals. Gunna send the head out to get re done. Motor has new oil pump and pan gasket from a year ago. Haven't decided if Im gunna open up the bottom end yet. Basically a spare for when this one craps out.
Going wheeling at the badlands this weekend for Anthony's Birthday. Incidently alot of my other friends that don't even know Anthony are going there too. Should be a blast.
