Alright guys, I have a 1996 zj (4.0) with 211k miles, I'm just a high school kid looking to lift his jeep affordably. If I were to buy a lift kit, say online, (rough country) would I need to buy the recommended components along with it? Is there a cheaper ~ smarter ~ way to get a few inches out of her? I'm looking to put 31's or 33's on it. Maybe a 4" lift is what I've been told. Above is my main problem, if you have any suggestions pertaining to a build for my zj, I'll be glad to take them. Additionally, the jeep community rocks!

Easy lift man would be some 1995 v8 ford thunderbird front coils on the front and move your stock coils to the rear should get you about 3-3.5 inches, get a piece of 1 inch square tubing cut and drill holes to make transfer case drop (you will need longer bolts) and you can source rear shocks from early 90s 1ton ford truck. I'll have to get back to you on the front shocks, you can also find longer sway bar links on most newer full size trucks
