I bought a stock 1995 Sport XJ November 2011 for my first rig for $2000. Had 155,000 miles on it and runs like a champ.

The next part was swapping out the dim headlights for silverlights until I can raise enough funds for some sort of conversion. I also added 2 rear lights on the roof rack with a toggle switch to turn on and off whenever I please because I find myself either having to reverse a ways out of some tight trails sometimes at night. It is also a great weapon against the people that decide to ride my ***.

I also added a thermometer for the outside temp just because I like to know when I'm going to be facing ice and I can be pretty oblivious to checking things like that before I drive. Added a Sound Storm Laboratories Stereo $30 somethin off amazon works great especially for the price and am in the process of adding some new speakers.

Hey man I also over the weekend did the same. I replaced my entire rear floor with a piece of 3/16 aluminum diamond plate. Screwed right to the frame rails really stiffened up the floor. Then I covered it with 3 coats of truck bed liner. Came out real nice.

That looks really good. I want to pretty much do the same thing. Also makes it a lot easier to keep clean. how much did the diamond plating cost you?

Had the luxury of having some on a job site. No cost at all

Made up a neat yet simple little switch panel

I started with a dremel and cut out the little dip piece in the console between the shifter and the ebrake

I filed to edge of that smooth and moved on to the piece of aluminum that would be covering this. I had just a scrap piece of aluminum laying around that did the perfect job. I cut it to 4.5 inches (unfortunately i had to use a hack saw ) then filed the edges of that smooth and drilled my holes for the switches and bolts then painted with primer and then gloss black over that

After that dried I mounted my switches in and put it in place

I got a Uniden pro 510xl CB radio simple yet handy kind of a pain to hook up though.

The antenna is just a simple magnetic one and ran the coax through the upper part of the lift gate frame area.

Then my Sirius fog lights and my magnetic amber bubble light that I use in storms for moving limbs in the road or notifying people of high water.

This week I have started the very long complete and total pain in the butt process of repainting the cheap way with rustoleum and ace rust stop brand paint. Just finished sanding today and along the way had lots of... to go with it. 3 days total of sanding due to poor sander lots of hand sanding and crappy clear coat. I'm thinking about going yellow because I've always loved the look of mud covered yellow vehicles.

I'll get pix up tomorrow.

I also recently replaced the carpet because I did not like having the overheating metal floors on the passenger side and didn't really like the look of it either. So i picked up a couple of $20 area rugs and cut them up to fit. Again pix up tomorrow.

Coming up new fender flares, lift, tires, roof rack, bumpers, winch hopefully by July
