I bought this xj for $1200 because I wanted a 91 to 95, 4.0 liter. auto, 4wd, 2dr didnt care much what it looked like. so when me buddy up in Casa Grande told me he had one in his tow yard for sale i raced up there and bought on the spot, then trailered it back to Tucson. It was pretty much in stock condition but had the drivers door falling off because of the upper hinge weld broke.

The trip back with my new xj was eventful with a blown tire and no spare.
but got lucky and the same friend who turned me on the jeep had a trailer tire at his job and drove down half way between Casa Grande and Tucson to put it on.

LOL my parts jeep had a raiders sticker on the windshield when i got it..well at the time it wasn't the parts jeep, but it was the first sticker to come off. I should have left it on and slapped a cardinals sticker over top of it..lol. Nice jeep by the way looks like you got a good starting point. I wish i would have gotten a two door.

My buddy gave me three used 31 procomps and i pickes two used off of CL and mounted them myself that was fun. Just installed a budget lift, coil spacers and leaf shackles. still have to replace the tierod that i bent on the last trip and the muffler looks like a smashed beer can, fab up the brackets for the new seats i got out of a ford explorer. all before our next run on the 25th https://www.cherokeeforum.com/attach...1&d=1284339857

Had a couple good productive days on the jeep. fab up some brackets for my new seats i got out of a explorer and replaced my tie rod that gotten bent in the last run, replaced my muffler with a cheap cherry bomb glasspack which thankfully wasn't as load as i thought it would be. also changed the lower rad hose and a few more little things just to get ready for our next run to Chimney Rock.
