That sounds like a hell of a deal to me. I found a guy on that website you gave me who is selling RC shackles shipped for $40 just like you said hah, so I am trying to get ahold of him.

I think I will be fine, the rims I picked up have a 4" backspacing so it'll clear better than the stockers I was gonna run. I also painted the rims today and I'll go take a picture of them, so far I only have 3 of them, and I am gonna order the 4th later this week when I get some extra cash.

thanks guys for all the input. I will keep posting pictures as I make updates, I was unable to take pictures of my rims tonight because I had to drive out of town to pick up sheet metal to fabricate cab corners for my silverado so I can start doing bed liner.
And I also scored a deal on 4- 285/75R16 Brand New Dunlop Mud Rovers for $250 while getting the metal so I am pumped about that because those are for my Silverado. hah.
thanks

I am not a hardcore rock crawler or anything, so I am not super worried about twisting axle shafts off like that, but I am sure it will happen eventually. Crazy picture though.

nope nothing much lately, I have been short on cash, still in the middle of remodeling my house, but I am almost done. Next friday or one of those days, I think I will order the 4th rim and get my wheels and tires mounted, then I have a lot of little projects to do on it like the tube doors, bumpers, weld up the rear end, and I know there is more I just can't think.

finally finished my house so now all my free time is for the damn jeep build I am attempting. this morning I finally got the front axle shafts out and I am replacing the extremely worn out u-joints and my wheels and tires go to the shop on friday to get mounted so I will be taking pictures of all that soon enough. I also got my welder back from a shop because it wasn't working properly, so now I can start constructing a cage hoop behind the front seats which will tie into some tube doors. I also need to find an alternative way to mount my rear shocks because when I went to remove the stockers I snapped all the bolts off that hold the top of the shocks on, and also I want to buy/ fab up some new lower shocks mounts that won't hang down off the axle for more clearance. then i will be making some new bumpers with tow points.
thanks

Well after work tonight I got some more work done on my jeep,
I modified to stock bumpers a bit, and welded in some new tow points, pictures below.
I am about to order some bar pin eliminators so I can mount my shocks the way I want to, and I also realized that I have to leave the lower shocks mounts in the stock locations on the axle because my shocks will be the wrong length if I mount them any other way.
Thanks
