'89 XJ "Frankenjeep" 4x4
So I had an 88 XJ laredo 4x4, started a build thread for it
https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f46/88...erokee-128247/
but it was too much of a piece of crap so I bought a new one, $375 and it needed a computer and an exhaust, it was the base model, but the laredo had all the bells and whistles, so ive been combining both to create "Frankenjeep" I have a few pics and will be posting more soon
Jeep when I bought it
Had a broken windshield so I got it replaced

I didnt like the shiny grill and light surrounds so I bought a couple cans of spray paint and clear coat
I replaced the plugs and wires with NGK V-Power plugs, Accel 8.8mm Wires, Gave it a new coil, rotor and cap, did a motor flush with Gunk Motor Flush and an oil change using a wix 51182 high capacity filter and fram full sythetic 10w-30,

I took the whole front clip off when I painted the grill and replaced the wiring harness so it included the stock wiring and the stock switch for the fog lights, they were on the jeep when I got it but were never wired in
The previous owner had replaced the MAP and IAT sensors and the alternator, but when he did it he put one on with a pully that was 1 tooth too small so it ate the belt and the clutch fan riped chunks out of the belt, so I replaced the pully put a belt on it and ripped the clutch fan out and put in an E-Fan

Swapped in the laredos guage cluster, took guages out painted entire insides white so its brighter than the blue it comes stock, painted the back of the guage surround white and front black, swapped in temp sender and oil pressure sender so the guages work
Got tired of my arm sweating, so I covered my center console lid with black soft canvas like material
