soooooo the jeep has a small crack in the block above the second freeze plug. merrrrrrrrrrr Im probably just going to clean it and jb weld it. I took the manifolds off to look at it, What a pain to remove! I think I'm going to convert to a 99 xj exhaust manifold and a newer intake. While I'm at it I'll port the head...OR should I swap in this ford 400 I picked up for $150 today?!

so I cleaned everything on the intake, was up until 3 doing it. Gasket matched the head and intake. welded up the old manifold and threw it on. now for the vacuum lines!

I love these BFGs! waaay better than the wrangler silent armors I had! cut and folded the rear quarters and put on a custom bumper that ties into the frame rails. next fab projects are finishing the front bumper and making tail light guards. broken the passenger one twice now!

Ooops! the little yj tried to follow a cherokee and look what happened! went wheeling the other day and this trail has told me that I need diff skids and control arm mounts and beefier brakets. This is just about maxing out the stock control arms...time to start collecting joints for long arms

I've been brewing ideas in my head for my jeep (that's never a good thing). I NEED MOAR JEEP. So Im planning on starting with 35s, long arms front and rear, 44/9 inch, partial exo. It's gonna get the works. I need to be able to do high speed desert and I have plans to take it to moab so basically a smaller personal KOH rig.

I've decided I need to get rid of my d35 because it's a ticking time bomb. Especially when I go up to 35s. So I found an 8.25 to throw underneath.

Since I'm getting rid of the 35, I decided to play around with the suspension a little bit! My lower rear shock mounts broke off in some rocks a couple days ago. I took one look at them and decided to mount them differently. So I threw up the mounts with some boogar welds (my justification is that it was dark and cold). surprisingly it works pretty well, naturally the dampening is a lot softer. I have yet to flex it and see how much more travel I can get.
