88 pioneer 2dr 5sd. Project
I bought the Jeep yesterday, it is a 1988 Pioneer 2 door 5 speed. Has the factory swing away tire carrier. It reads just above 176k and runs very strong for a renix! So far I have done a full tune-up, cold are intake, and put a glasspack on it and it seemed to make a big difference in how it runs. The only rust on this Jeep is just small amounts of surface rust from paint chips etc. The body is in excellent shape for the year.
Plans:
Swap out Dana 35 for 29 spline 8.25 With 4:56's and Locker
Swap out front Dana 30 for my other one With 4:56's and lockrite
Swap Out BA10 for an AX-15
T&T 7.5" longarm kit
34" SS LTB's
Bumpers, armor, 1/4 protection.
I need to get the lift and tires ordered, I have everything else.
Will post up better pics later.

Updating the build, I added some 30" mud tires on outlaw 2's for now. And also ordered a RC 3" intil I can afford the T&T kit. Here are some pics of me playing in the new cherokee

You make me yearn for a cherokee even more so than I already do. Having just joined this forum, I can already tell that I'll be typing those words quite frequently. Sweet pictures

There fun! I wish I knew why my pictures are going left to right instead of up and down.
The 3" lift is on backorder intil april 4th so Ill be sure to post pics of that, also I'm probably going to try to get the rearend welded up for now.
