1. Awesome build. 2. Love that your's is also an '88. 3. Also love that you have a stock carrier as well. 4. Finally, love that you are running a a D35 (welded) and stock carrier with those 33s, really shows everyone who doesn't believe they can support them.

as long as you don't have a heavy foot dirty thirtys can last. The the stock tire carrier is going away in a few weeks (hopefully) to build a smaller and a tougher rear bumper

I plan on getting some alloy 4340 shafts and an IRO truss for it when I go to 33x10.50s, also keeping the carrier as well. I added my carrier and added gr.8 washers for extra support between the bushing and bolts.

If you rock crawl no way i rub on my tire as it is. Street beater you'd be pushing it but you might be ok. I pulled it off now building a high tire swing away and a few other things

I'm assuming it depends on weight too. I have washers under the bushings now for extra support and only have 31s. The 35s I was looking at are only 10lbs heavier than the 33 I was originally looking at.
