compressor
Does anybody know where to find a high quality compressor rebuild for a mopar Rv-2?
Heres what I'm working with a york twin piston compressor. Very good operating condition, I put it in a vise hooked it up to a 15 gallon compressor(off and empty) and using a heavy drill to turn the pump I filled it to 90PSI before the drill felt hot. Call the tool police, its warrantied. this is going on the jeep 4.6l I am building for my poor tired comanche.
I have a 7120 head in the machine shop, its getting the hog on the runners and a mod this machinist does to chang the springs to sb chevy valve spring. he told me hes taking .040 off the valve seat and using different retainers/locks. I'm gonna try it figuring he has put this in a few stroker builds. Including his 258 amc. He has an offenhauser 4bbl manifold with carb sitting on his shelf. I'm getting the rotating assembly .030 over from jakes racing engines. i don't want to do a .060 over so when i wear this one down i can still step up later.
Any input on re-ring kits for the compressors would be greatly appreciated. I'm changing all the hardware in these setups to a fastenal grade-9 ecoguard. Maybe if I use enough of their bolts they will sponsor me (listen up holo-krome)
