Hoping to get the motor done on Friday. Would like to take it for a Sunday drive.

Bought a carb rebuild kit. Scheduled time this Friday to start on the motor. Came across a 6 cylinder motor from a newer jeep and wondering if it will fit in the place of the 4 cy 2.5 I currently have.

Holy pain in my ***. Guy won't sell the 4.0 motor. Should I be wasting my time trying to find a 4.0 motor for this thing? Any year of jeep with this motor work the same as the next? Any particular years I need to stay away from? Maybe I should just buy a different one (whole jeep)with a 4.0 and move lift kit and all other things to it. Clearly I've hit a dilemma wall and I don't know enough about jeeps really to make the best call.

Putting the brakes on trying to find a bigger motor for now. Thinking of moving the lift kit and other extras to another jeep.

Going in a different direction. I've posted the jeep for sale for parts or whole thing on craigslist.
