Yeah, no S***, I've had family members ask "Why don't you trade that thing in on something newer?" I've always responded, why? It may be old, but it's paid for, and is the most reliable vehicle i've ever owned...

also the best is when someone says stuff like - "your jeep is a gas guzzler & its bad for the environment" blahx3. & my response is ususally - dont trip, ure not the one paying for my gas so zipit & if its bad for the environment why dont you stick ure face on my exhaust and show me just how bad it is!!! haha
I am glad to see your leafs are flat like mine. having never noticed them straight like that I thought mine were bad. can I cut down some junk yard leafs to add to the factory leafs ? some clearance would be nice whats a junkyard fix to raise them 3-4 inches
I caught the tail end of this thread and awesome find on the jeep. I just picked up a cherokee and am jeep ignorant. it's an 86 2.5 liter, 239K miles. clear coats already been buffed off for me. Looking at a rough rattle can camo paint job once I replace the hatch and drivers door. I'm in Portland, OR and paid $500 for it and that was beating ten other craigslist calls to the location!!! Going from being a subaru girl to jeep should be interesting. I know my 4 cylinder is ***** but for commuting it's practical. Will keep following the advice and start my own thread also!!!
