Haven't really decided what kind yet. Thought about a carbine, also thought about a DMR. But I got a line on a pws upper cheap (for pws) it's a carbine gas piston, and may go with that. Looking at hydro dipping it in kryptek typhoon camo

Looks like a nice starting spot for the AR. If you get a piston upper get as short as you can because that's where the piston really shows its superiority. If you don't want to do the $200 tax stamp get a 14.7 w/ a pinned and welded brake/hider. I have a couple piston guns and love them(lwrc). I also love my DI guns but my 10.5" lwrc was worth every penny. If wasn't so into guns I could own a JK by now lol

Yeah I hear you. I'm looking at a pws upper that's piston driven, it's 14.5 with a pinned brake, but I'm thinking of the tax stamp and buing a diablo upper, gas piston, and only about 10 inch barrel. Would look sick with the ubr stock Im going to order. I haven't decided to do a Black and Tan build, or hydro dip it with kryptek typhoon camo, I think that would be sick

Love the kryptek typhoon. I have some SOE gear in that pattern and its slick. The tax stamp is worth the wait and money IMHO the only thing that sucks is if you wanna take it to a training class out of state you gotta let them know before. Good luck on the AR build man as well as the XJ.

Agree 100%. Do you fly as well as do ground work? I finish my BSN for nursing in a year and looking at Air Force reserves(yah I know the chair force ;p) I want to fly, they have a unit also that partners with the army dust off units. That's what I really want to do.

Only did twice because they needed extra hands. I'm a dedicated ground pounder for now. Been trying to get flight status but its very competitive. And hey I know some badass Airforce guys.

So I have been re thinking my storage box I build last summer. It's nice and all, but when I have stuff strapped down to it I can't get to the center compartment. Then I got to thinking, I strap all the important stuff on top, why not do something else with it? Well I think I got it figured out. As you guys may know by now I'm pro 2nd amendment. I decided I'm going to redo my box with a single slide out draw with foam lining, and make a gun vault. Kinda like what the FBI and stuff use in the suburbans.
