when you put that electric fan in place of mechanical why didn't you just take the studs out with vice grips and put bolts there instead retaining the stock pulley and belt thus less work in the long run?

I tried that at first, but was afraid the fan and pully would contact each other when the engine revved. There was less than 1/8th" space b/w them.

Now I have a good 1.5" between the fan and mount, so it's worth the extra work to save breaking the fan.

If I had to do it over again on a different Jeep, I would just hacksaw through the nub and be done in 15minuts.
