I got my strike plates on, the are welded and bolted. I added the bolts after I took the pic, they were an afterthought. I just put one 3/8 bolt per side. The plates are a .25 x1.5x7 inch piece of steel with about a 2.75 inch piece of 2x2 inch tubing for a brace between the plate and the axle tue.

I could have made them much shorter, I just decided 7 inches.

I got one side of te rear fenders cut and folded, andfound some nasty *** rust and cut most of it out, looks like I'm gonna buy a cut and fold style rear bumper, I hate the look of the quarter pannel being chopped off. The cut and fold started out looking ****ty but I got the hang of it. I didn't get to do the other side because it got dark last night before I could get to it, and now it's snowing. I have some bed liner paint to hide the little imperfections from the folding and cutting. Also my bumpstops are a hair long, but I'm leaving them alone.

Well I just spent about 20 minutes with a framing hammer fine tuning the cut an fold, I got rid of all the little relief cuts, it's smooth all the way around, but the sleet/snow/ice picked back up, maybe I'll get the other side done tmro. Before and after.

Thanks, I was going to put them next to the gear selector, but I have reverse lights on my rack and I wanted to make sure the switch couldn't be accidentally flipped while driving, and blinding the person behind me.

I got some stuff some today. I finished my cut and fold, and I've got one side bed lined and one side in primer, I've just got one pic.

I changed my passengers side rear brakes, I have the parts for the drivers side but it got dark too quick to put them on. They are good anyway, but I couldn't get only the passanger side shoes, so I went ahead and got both drums since I had to buy all 4 shoes.

This is why I had to change them.

Parts pile

All done.

I also had a nail in one of my ****ing brand new 200 dollar tires, so I plugged that.

I'll try to get the other fender bed lined and the bumper caps trimmed so I can cover the big rust hole in the passenger side quarter pannel.
