Got antsy and nightshaded the taillights today after work/ before school. Not bad of never having done it before just a lil run on one and a tiny drip on the other.

Dude! I wanted to paint my stock rims too! Mine are all rusted though so I think I'd be a headache looks good though. Just a tip when shading the tail lights (with vht nightshade) only do two coats. All the vids say three and there's no freakin way a cop wouldn't pull me over right now. The brake lights are quite dim and I just ordered some super bright LEDs to replace my bulbs in an attempt to counteract this.

I like the look of those tail lights, but they do seem super dark. I'd be interested in seeing how some different bulbs would brighten it up since I've considered doing the same to mine down the road. Did you notice any difference from your TB spacer and cold air? I was told that's what you have to do get decent mileage out of an XJ with a lift.

Tb spacer, not really. In fact that thing is kinda a pain in my ***** right now because it makes my aem touch the top of the hood and before I noticed it it ground my intake tube down to the metal (in one short trip!) so I currently have a bicycle patch guled to the under side of my hood until I decide if I'm gonna cut out the small piece of cross section or take out the tb and eat the $100 I payed for it. As for gas mileage I did the math and was getting 11.5 appox but since then I've put Flowmaster and intake. Haven't filled up since then

Yea I have seen about using 2 coats. It seems to be the consensus when using it. I thought about leaving a space clear in a Steeler's emblem or something so it would still be red showing.
