glad you decided to cut and fold. I did mine for the exact same reason. mine was about twice as bad.
I also modified my caps to still fit till I found my olympic bumper
I drilled a hole in the top of the caps and through the bumper and used spacers bbolt and nut in the top of each side.
just throwing the idea out there for ya.

It's been almost two years since I updated this thread. I never sold Candace or the tailbone, we've been doing great since our last visit. I've got a annul of updates so I'll just jump right in. The passenger sides taken a beating over the past couple years but all swell. Here we go!

Kicker 5.25 coaxial speakers in the rear soundbar. I like the look of the after market grates. I took a Dremel to the factory grates for a cleaner look.
smittybilt covers. More pics to come. My jeeps a mess right now and I'm being the productive lazy today... Hmm let me update Cherokee forum after 2 years, with a bunch of ****ty pictures lol I'll get better pictures asap
sony head unit. Also vent switches for Hellas On the bumper and interior blue lights on the floor. Pics to come.
the switch for my 20 inch lightbar
put some of the smittybiot pockets on my doors. More kicker 5.25s in the front doors. Does anyone have a write up on the correct way to mount aftermarket speaker grates in our front doors? Because mine came out like ****.
265/75R16 cooper adventurer a/t measures out to 31.7x 10.5 so basically 32's
hella 500's off my buddy's zj
20 " lightbar off eBay. Gave my buddy a ball python for this lol
dat ***
So th warranty on this light bar is if it stops working the eBay seller says. Smash it with a hammer. Send me a pic. And I'll send a new light. And people are buying rigid lights why?

No disrespect, but I'm thinking you might have to pay more attention to the cars in front of you! lmao! 3 accidents in 2 years? That's unfortunate!
All joking aside, your rig looks good! Those moabs look good! I'm personally rooting for you to get a new bumper. Don't like the current one. It just looks like a pan in the ***.
Good luck!

That is true. Can't really argue with that. I am, however, from Michigan (pot hole central) and everyone around here thinks they need to go 90. It's pretty ridiculous! Everyone is "the only one on the road" they don't give two $hits.

Sooooooooooo after a long time off the forums. I've got updates for days.
The old xj is gone. The new xj is in.
I switched over the lift, wheels, tires, and the remanned Jasper out the old xj
Other than that. Shes a clean slate.
I miss my tan interior from the old xj but this one was too nice to worry about swapping all the interior over. And this one also has a sunroof and a 231 instead of the 242
Here's some pictures to get the build thread going again. I'll post up tomorrow everything I've done to it. And get better pictures of everything . This one rides much better than my old xj ever did. But it's my second one so there's been quite a bit more attention to detail... Any ways I'll shut up , post a few pics and then be back with build details tomorrow....

Update:
This Is a different shell than before. Sticking with the same build name for now and got a lot of upgrades since I've been here last. Here are a few pics of the build so far. I've been working hard as hell on this thing and really wish I had gotten some more pictures from start to finish. Anywho....
