So, back to regular order of business. Tomorrow I will be helping a friend put some Rancho lift shocks on his '12 ram which will supposedly yield 2-3 inches of lift. After that I'm going to finally install my hitch!
Also, getting metal brake light housings from a member here for an led conversion and if I have enough $$$ this week I'm going order rear armor panels also from a vendor here on cf!
I emailed jeep and asked for my factory build sheet as soon as I get it ill be sure to post it up here.

I think know what that dust shield is. I've seen it on some xjs it's like a metallic shield sitting by the intake manifold where the injectors are. Is this supposed to help with heat soak or something? Is it something you guys suggest I go get taken care of? It would be free..

You just need to go to jeep.com and send them an email asking for the factory build sheet. They ask for your name, address, email address, the jeeps vin number... They ask for mileage too idk why though. But i asked for mine yesterday and i had the email this morning i was surprised they sent it that fast honestly.

Might be doing a U-joint on the heep tomorrow depending on how smooth the ram goes. The thing is a brand new truck so it should go smooth. Lol

So I'm interested in doing an injector upgrade since it seems all the cool kids are doing it.
My question: Which is the best option to go with??

I believe most everyone around here goes with 703 injectors from the dodge neons... ask Dukie, ODGreen, Outlaw, N20 Jeep, or even Customizer I know they can steer you in the right direction.

703s are for 98 and older the connectors change for 99 and up. You'll need 784s for 2000

Soooo, got nothing done on the xj today. But got the ram all lifted and looking sexy. Let me tell you how nice it was working on a brand new vehicle for change. No rusted bolts. No hack jobs from previous repairs. Everything went on like butter.
Then I got a call from my pops saying he smelled fuel coming from somewhere on the olé 95 xj. I went to his place to investigate and it turns out one of the bands that holds the tank has worn through and punctured it. It's a very slow leak but still. I don't want my dad driving around with a leak in his gas tank. So i'm going to take care of that asap. New tank is 86 bucks.
It's always something. And me and my xj are akways last on the priority list. I guess that's the life of a mechanic. Lol
