And isn't it just floating in there? If the hitch isn't attached there isn't anything holding that nuts trip to the unibody.. Hmm.
Okay, I think this gave me an additional clue.

There was a nut affixed to a long piece of metal "floating around" in the mid-frame I noticed when I was replacing my cat' recently: is that what people are talking about when they say "nut strips" (be nice: I'm totally clueless about a lot of this stuff, and I ask noob' questions all the time lol)? Jeep just left disconnected nuts in the frame when they manufactured these?

Yup, that's what it is. I holds the nuts inside the frame so you can run the bolts up through it.

TY. If I can find the nut strip mid-frame on the other [driver] side, it will make installing my new-to-me fat nerf bars easier to install (one less hole to drill) after I get them prepped & painted. At least now I know to look lol.

I've never had so much trouble putting a hitch on! I have to take a bolt out of the nut strip that holds the little heat sheila next to the exhaust and it broke! Ughh.. I want to go to the hardware store to get bolts but I don't want to have to make a guess as to what the thread is..

Breaking the bolt that holds the last exhaust hanger really pissed me off. So I packed up the tools and went to take some anger out.. Had a good time! The jeep performed great as always. But now my exhaust has a slight rattle all because of that bolt breaking. So now I need to devise a plan to fix it..

Yes, definitely did.

Yeah but it's just a spout.. And I'm pretty sure it's a law that they have to provide that type of spout with any gas can. No big deal. The can itself is perfect though. It's got nice style cap. For 35 bucks I'm pretty happy with it.

And that's what I'm going to have to do.. Just sucks the stupid bolt broke. That sucker was In there good I was turning it with a half inch breaker bar for a good 5 minutes I knew it was going to snap..

Parts gut at work hooked me up with a bunch of overstock stuff! Got 5 truck lite LEDs and a bunch of headlights! In our older buses made by MCI the headlights are the same light as our xjs. And the truck lite LEDs go in the newer model number buses.. When we have overstock they just throw the stuff out!

I'm going to be making custom taillight housings and doing the led conversion!

Anybody need amber truck lite LEDs?? I'm only going to need 2 and I have 4.

Also, don't know if I have mentioned this yet... I've noticed that my aux fan never comes on. Even when I turn the a/c (which works great ).. So I'd like to fix that.

Yeah dude you can have em. I'm still deciding if I'm going to buy the housings or make them.. I mean they seem easy enough to make.. Don't see the point in spending 100 on the pre fabbed. But it's always nice just to toss some lights in and roll with it.
