Hey!!! Thought i'd write up something quick for now. Wanted to share a few things about my XJ that might be helpful for some.

Once upon a time in the Summer of 2011, I purchased a red/tan 2000 XJ Sport with a 4.0, at, 160xxx miles for a very very good price. However, that very good price carried some work to be done with it.

Over the last year, that work has included, putting a brand new head on it. No big deal, right???!?!? It was a known problem so, I originally knew what I was getting into.

BUT!!! The jeep that keeps on giving, gave me another project after the new head was installed....
Oh joy, another project ;-) Yeaaaa.. not so much. Found out there was a crack in the block.

After a couple days of monitoring CL, I found a wrecked '98 ZJ with a 4.0 that only had about 115xxx on it. SWEET! $500 for the wrecked jeep on CL, scrapped the rest of the Jeep for a couple hundred meant I had a great engine with out the crappy 99-01 4.0 head for a mere few hundred bucks.

Been close to a year with the engine swap and had zero problems.

Did a lot of minor 'fix-it' things since owning it and finally had the $$$ to put a long arm kit on it :-)

Went with the Iron Rock Off-Road 5.5” Critical Path Long Arm Kit / 33/1050/15 BFG KM2's. SYE blah blah blah.

Next is the JCR diy front bumper which will be happening soon.

I know i'm missing a lot of info but, wanted to get my build thread going so y'all can see the transformation.

Ask anything you want about it. I think it turned out quite well. It's becoming the jeep I imagined it would be.
