1999 Cherokee XJ8
In the middle of my build, I have some extra time right now since my jeep is in the shop, thought I would share since I've stolen so many ideas from all of you. She is a 1999 Cherokee XJ8 (Comanche short bed). Custom front bumper, rear bumper, rocker panels. Right now I am having the entire truck looked through, engine rebuild, radiator flush, differentals serviced, tranny and t-case services, electrical systems check. Then a unexpected $2000 in new uni-bearings, u joints, window motor and regulator, JKS quicker quick disconnects, JKS trac bar with Rocky Mountain drop bracket. Maybe I should have never had the jeep looked through, ha. I guess JEEP really does mean Just Empty Every Pocket.
It also has a wilderness camper on it- that I have some great plans for...
Next on my list TO DO: New tires and wheels, rhino line the rocker panels, change up the pop top tent to Westfalia style, TJ Rubicon front and rear axle swap, new shocks........
Thanks again for all your great info and builds.

Thanks, maybe i will just run some spacer on the wheels? I hear bad things about spacers? Opinions....
The reason I'm calling it a Cherokee is because everything is a 2000 Cherokee but frame and bed....
This is what I'm thinking on roof top tent, instead of full tent, just a pop top style. I don't need all the extra space.

I guess I will keep the wheels- thanks for all the input. I order some spidertrax spacers to give me the stance I want. I should have them on the truck today with some pictures.
Here are also a couple of cool things that have been done to truck- It has two fuel tanks and a pump that transfers fuel between the two. The 2000 Cherokee tank is under the bed where the spare tire used to be, the new tank is where the stock comanche tank should be, very easy install. There is a momentary switch allowing the one to feed the other.
I know have 38 gallons of gas on-board!!!!!
B-Pillar lights were also installed with a switch in the cab to turn them off and on. This allows me to go door-less with out having the lights on all the time.
