Not trying to be a dick, but you should junk the OCOD ( orange can of death) . Fram oil filters are notorious for being crap. Do some reading on the forum. I believe Duma made a video a while back where he cuts one open and shows why they suck. Grab a Wix, NAPA gold, or at least Mopar.
Is that why like EVERY Fram filter was on clearance for $5?
I may or may not ditch this thing. I'll do some reading first. I can understand there will be differences in performance between the different brands of oil filters, but I find it hard to believe that a Fram oil filter is going to harm my engine. But, I'll do some reading and we'll see.

So I took a field trip to a local salvage yard. I had been there a few weeks ago to check the place out (I like small, independent places,) and to find a power steering pump cap for my Cherokee. They didn't have an XJ Cherokee 4.0, but the worker suggested I check a Grand Cherokee 4.0 - there's a half-dozen out back. I found a gold 1998 Grand Cherokee 4.0L - and the cap fits perfectly. (I wonder if the whole pump assembly is the same - are they interchangeable? Is the Grand Cherokee pump better? Hmm.)
I went back this time to check out their single Cherokee, and to see if there were any Grand Cherokees with nice seats. Plus, to "explore." I actually told the owner I want to explore.
"Sure," he says, without a blink. Then he reminded me that his Cherokee is a four-cylinder, and that no engine pieces would fit on my straight-six, BUT the body is in really great shape, so any of those pieces would fit - fenders, mirrors, bumpers, rear axle, springs. (This guy has it together. Nice!) Also, the Grand Cherokee from last time, the one I got the power steering cap off of - there might be another car on top of it, so be careful. "Also, it's pretty muddy back there."
Also, do not remove anything from any vehicle without coming and checking with them first. This is obviously not a problem. I really appreciate them letting me explore their yard. Very cool of them.
* A word on my seats: - My seats are garbage, and the driver seat has a distinct lean to the side.
This is exactly the type of environment I look for in a salvage yard. Cars stacked on top of cars, with truck beds full of random subframes and axles.

1955 Dodge Coronet Google tells me that this is a 1955 or 1956 Dodge Coronet (third generation.)
Jeep Cherokee 2 Doors, 2 Wheel Drive, 5 Speed. I wouldn't mind turning one of these into a little hotrod XJ, or a lowrider on airbags. This one has four cylinders. It got kissed in the front at some point.
Seats for me? I dont know if the seats from this 2 door will bolt into my 4 door. I think they are the same, but the 2-door version tilts forward to allow access to the rear seat.
I live in Cleveland, Ohio, and the Cleveland Auto Show starts this weekend.
Score! I'm gonna go check it out and see all the new trucks and SUVs, plus the Jeeps. And there's usually a military vehicle display, and a classic car show in the basement. I'll do an an article with photos, and I'll post it here, and on the website where I work (I work for a local truck accessory place.)

you'd be surprised....wix are not much more expensive but substantially higher quality
So I jacked up the front of the Jeep this weekend and pulled the wheels off. Brakes look good (though, they are squishy. I'll need to bleed them.)
Suspension is old and rusty, bolts may be an issue. I should buy a torch.
Rotors and pads look fine. I didn't inspect the rear yet. I don't know anything about drum brakes, so I'll have to do some reading first. I should at least be able to bleed the system.
Driver's side suspension is covered in oil/grease. Lower shock bolts broke free easily. Lower ball joint is shaky, shaky. I should probably replace ALL the ball joints. Probably the hubs while I'm in there.
Passenger side suspension is bone dry - lower shock bolts wouldn't budge.
Also, where the axle shaft goes into the axle tube - the passenger side has a plastic disc covering this opening - the driver side is wide open. Should this be closed? I'll do some reading.
(Edit: Basslicks says it's a dust cover. Not critically necessary.)

Back in the mid 90's I found a wrecking yard way back off the beaten path, back in the woods. place was huge, but the old man who owned it had no phone, did not advertise. He had a complete, solid 1970 javelin SST I bought the whole thing for $200.00. The yard (or 100+ acres of woods and fields) were filled with cars from the 40's through 70's.
I got out of the car hobby shortly after. about 2005 I went back and the place was vacant, except a little fenced lot someone was using os a towing storage area. As I was pulling out a tow truck pulled in, I stopped and talked to the man a bit.
The owner died, and the family brought in a crusher and cleared the land asap and put it on the market,, this was prime realestate that should fetch 1-2 million for a subdivision.
Last I heard they never could sell it cause the soil was contaminated.
They crushed the only real value of the property.
