1999 DD "Slug" Build
Hello Everyone. New to the Cherokee world. Bought a 1999 Cherokee Classic from a buddy at work after I sold my 1995 YJ.(Frame damage). I really needed a vehicle and he had one for sale for semi-cheap. So bought it and am now driving for my daily driver.
For now my plans are to make it dependable for a DD and for mild off road use (Hunting, Camping, Etc.) It has some issues.
The couple pics I am posting are from when I brought it home. Its was sitting for 7 months and was dirty. Things I have done in the past couple weeks are..
-Cleaned it a little
-New TPS
-New Air Filter
-New Gas tank straps
-Replaced taillights
-Vacuumed out best I could (Had LOTS of dog hair)
-Ran some Seafoam though a tank.
-Jerry Rigged hood latch(Was broke when I bought it)
Am looking forward to working on it, but it will be slow due do ya know, House, bills, kid, Wife's vehicle, motorcycles.. lol.
But after reading a bunch of build threads on here, there is a lot of knowledge I can learn from to make my XJ the way I want it.

Ordered a new Radiator from Champion Radiators. Hopefully it will be a good one. It overheated on me Saturday on my way back from my clubs car show. I have a car cruise this weekend so I will have to put the radiator in on Sunday. Also will hopefully get some other things done too. Need to get a lot done before hunting season starts...

Been awhile since I have posted. Have done a few things to the heep. Got the new Champion radiator installed and it is staying cool now. Had pics of that install but some how they are MIA.
I also changes my valve cover gasket, and painted valve cover. I also had to cut the hitch off cause it was rust welded in there . Still have not got it fully out yet. Going too go hunting this weekend so next week need to do more things on the jeep. I am getting good ideas from other builds on here so I thank everyone... Stay tuned.
