Default 1998 Sport Build Thread (Pic Intensive)

So about 3 weeks ago my parents surprised me with a 1998 Cherokee Sport

They realized that this is what I really wanted and they started searching for me, and when i got a 4.0 in school this year they decided to make the plunge and buy it for me.

I havent put any new mods or anything on it, I have replaced the Brake calipers and washed it a lot. I have also cleaned under the hood in the engine compartment just recently (today actually lol)

Future Upgrade (hopefully Soon) will be:
3" Rough country Series Lift kit w/ 1" block in front and 1" shackle in back
32" tires (not sure with brand, suggestions welcome)
C.B. Radio, antenna mounted drivers side hood
Custom front/rear bumpers w/ subframing
roof rack
4 mounted lights on top of roof
2 mounted lights on front bumper
1 built in light in rear bumper for those tailgaiters

Stay tuned for more

here are some more pictures:

relatively clean since it only had one owner since 98. I love being the second owner!

Today i worked on the Jeep. I first started out by cleaning the engine with some degreaser i bought down at my local parts store for around 3 bucks. Used the whole can and the outcome was pretty darn good:

Than after that i bought this back to black stuff to put on my oxidized flares, body trim and bumpers. It worked out pretty well: Here is what i used, and what i applied it with.

The outcome to me looks amazing! Well a lot better than it did. Here is some before and after pictures:

Stay posted, might be ordering lift next week hopefully.

If you have an overhead console, you should install it into that like i did. Great place, keeps it up and out of the way, looks clean, and easily accessible.

So today i got a call from a friend who works at the wrecking yard and he told me they had just got in a gas tank skid plate in great condition. So i bought it and they only wanted 20$ for it. I was in awe. So these are the before pictures. Before all the cleaning brushing sanding and painting. Looks way better now. I will take pictures of the finished product tomorrow!

So just 5 minutes ago i ordered my lift kit!!! I ordered a BDS 4.5" Short arm lift kit. I added on some goodies to the base kit. The things i aded on were the fox 2.0 series shocks and the 5500 single steering stablilizer. Heres the link to the site and the lift kit i got! I am so excited should hopefully be here soon and will be on the jeep before school starts! Lemme know what you think! I have worked my A$$ off this whole summer for a lift kit and finally made the commitmnet. Cool thing about this lift kit is that it is 100% made in the USA! thanks for looking CLick on the little box to get to the site, there should be a table in the upper right hand section area that you can push to select the 4.5 SA lift
