Like I said...
MOST (More than half) people who build "mud" trucks cut corners because "it's just mud." That goes for the whole nation. Now, let's stop and think about what there is to do in Florida... Mud. That's about it. Where do you think the majority of 'mud' trucks reside? Florida. Where are most of the 'mud' truck builds on this forum? Florida.
I see it in my home town as well. 75% of the ginormous trucks I see are half assed from the front bumper all the way to the back.
For instance, people use the same size tube and heims for links as I used for my steering.
This particular build started out that way and with some pursuasion from the crowd is much more acceptible now.
You can unwad your panties now.
Opie, Looks good btw. I would consider making another longer plate and laying it on top of your rear leaf hanger (On the side) and weld it on there. That way you have more support attached to the frame on multiple axis'. Make sense?

Ya ive already got it cut to do what ur saying it will look like what i put on the top side rear hanger but just so u guys know its gona drop about 4 inches at the most when the weight is on it i already did it lastNight it was able to clear 40s with no problem and i brought the front axle foward about 6 inches it also was not very stiff like we all thought it would might even be able to get some flex out of it

got today and the next day off so theres n b some work don't today the jeep is already off the jacks last night i had to relocate the rear spring brackets because the axle went to far forward when i took the jacks out but its wasn't a big deal its sitting good now the lift isn't as big as you guys think but its big with it sitting on the rims.. i took a measurement from the ground to the top of the hood and it was 50 inches exact thats bigger than most of your guys xj's with 6 inch lift lol
