Well I figure it's time to start a build thread being I'm getting all new floors in this thing and a 4.5 inch lift is soon to come! The best part is I'm in search of a parts truck so I can do a 4x4 conversion! I have many plans for this XJ.

Specs:

1995 Cherokee SE
2WD
Chrysler 8.25
AW4

Progress on the floors so far.

Some other simple things I've done.. Flow master super 40 cat back. Am on the hunt for a nice header and downpipe as well.

Anyone have any ideas of how to get these bolts out? They're pretty tight. I've used blaster on them but at this point I've had a couple wrenches on it. (See next picture)

They make sockets with star/philips/flat/ ect. I'm not sure what the hinge is but shouldn't be an issue with the proper socket

I tried that first. A socket won't fit between the the door hinge and the door jam. Which is why I'm using the setup I have. I don't know what else to try I don't want to strip them out.

Well I'm out of ideas for now. Unless someone else chimes in I'll check it out once I'm home from work to see if I can come up with another idea.

Ok. I don't see the issue with room unless you have some real tall star sockets. If you do then I would suggest some star sockets from autozone...think the cost about $16. Below is a pic of the set (minus 2 and the bobo driver they come with) they are shorter and fit fine... see other photo

The front bolt is easy to get to with the socket, but the back two are not.

Like this? Pretty easy with a short socket. You might need a small head 3/8 ratchet though. Good investment of $25

Not sure how you're getting to those .. I had a torx bit just like that and a slim head ratchet with no luck at all!?
