not sure yet.

Got some questions on the 97+ E-brake and Automatic gearshift installment. Im sure the bent gearshift should be a easy install, could I even just install the bent stick? For the E-Brake, does this install easy?

A photoshop add of the center dash bezel installed in my 91, witch is my first dash installment plan.
Its not 100% same angle as my dash, but close enough for the picture.
During the install, the cig lighter wiring will be installed in the 97+ real cig lighter, the plus is it has 2 ciglighters ports. For the vent, im just going to extend the vent up and for the AC unit, will the 97+ work in mine?

I have the steeringwheel, and I just need the inter dash panel with wiring harness The inter dash panel is the back part that screws to the firewall and witch you screw the outer dash trim too, if im going to do the entire dash swap. Already have the outer dash panels " glovebox, boxbox airbag cover, dashpad, steering surround, bottom steering panel, middle dash bezel and both left and right side air vents. anyone have a junk 97+ Cherokee.

Yeah I guess I should do the entire dash swap then as I have the entire thing except for the core part "Dash panel"
Heres my dash, my other parts including the cluster are in the back of my Cherokee and didn't feel like running out to get them.

But yeah, I just need the core panel that this screws too, I guess with the wiring harness too. And like I said I have all the outer panel parts.
Also can see the cig outlets/buttons next to it, Just need the AC unit. As for the airbags, I don't plan installing them, don't have them in my Cherokee to begin with anyway. All the parts are kinda mix color, matching bottom charcoal and tan and the left and right air vents are the gray and black. I could go with this style right now if I desire too. Just have to paint the bottoms of the air vents then. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/811/dashsetup.jpg/

And yes IZAREBL I have that style steering wheel, just need the center Jeep logo airbag cover for it.

If anyone has a damaged Cherokee and getting rid of it, let me know. A 97-01 of course...

So I got all my doors now, just need to order the 01 fenders and the body will be complete. I got the driver door off a 98 classic maroon, the same for the passager side a 98 classic green. The driver side was a good one and came with everything but the mirror. the passager has the wiring in it but cut at the end of the hoes where the door jam is. the driver is very nice and the wires were unpluged rather than cut.

My question is, is the window motors and everything in the door? I made sure I bought the all power doors. So these are the power windows/power locks. And if I plan on getting into the fancy way, is there a way to get a keyless entry button? I'll probaby look online for a used Jeep brand one to match with my keys.

Got my 01 fenders in today via FedEx. The boxes were very light and opened one to make sure it was a fender. And it was, Hate how they build everything cheap today and sell it high.

Well all my body parts are in just need the small things such as front door strikers plus 97-01 hatch striker, The E-brake from a 97-01 and the gearshift "automatic"

Also have to find out if the guy is ready to fix my Cherokee yet. I can now do everything at once.

Your build is looking great!

Will the 97-01 doors plug right in or will you have to hard wire or swap interior harnesses?

The first pic looks just like my '91. Personally I think it would look cool if you stayed with the red and silver since they didn't sell the '97-'01's in that color scheme, but that's just me...

Things looking to buy from members.

99-01 Steering wheel center part: http://i40.tinypic.com/scb3mq.jpg
The part that has the Jeep logo on it, to complete my steering wheel.

97-01 Front driver/passager door striker: http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphot..._4001899_n.jpg

97-01 Hatch Striker: http://thumbs1.ebaystatic.com/m/mSUA...tX11RA/140.jpg

97-01 Fender Antenna Base mount: http://www.teamgrandwagoneer.com/par...tennaPad-2.JPG "The image is a 84-96 but get the idea"

97-01 E-Brake: http://media.photobucket.com/image/r...e/CIMG0173.jpg
Need to finish the installment of the console

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Steering wheel colum looks...
For my Steering wheel colum, I've been looking at some later Cherokees that had the box mount behind the steering wheel starting with the 95/96 witch the open ports don't lineup, So I'm going to make up a home made one. Just looking at it, it looks like its missing it but never had one. And no this steering wheel don't adjust up and down.

A 97 Cherokee http://www.42green.com/random/97_che...j_interior.jpg
As can see the key insert is located lower and the 97-01s will not work.

My Steering wheel has its 4 ways located under the key insert while others have it on the top.

All I can say is wow...I was thrilled to find your thread as I have been wondering about all of these mods....I have a 1990 cherokee and needed a rearend and some lift parts....I happened upon a 1998 cherokee that was missing a motor and trans but basically, the rest is there...The interior is near mint and I have been daydreaming the thought of doing some of the very mods you have done.

I just went today and purchased the 1998 and hopefully can get by one day this week after work and pick it up to get started....I'm sure I'll be trolling your thread over and over for insight....Your jeep looks great and a big thanks for all your hard work as I'm sure it will save me some mistakes....I'm going to start taking pictures and building some albums and threads of my own

Still waiting for the rest of my small parts to come in, Anyway I did some internet Cherokee interior searching and got a 96 and a 01 interior image of the same pixel size and angle. I did some phase in of the 2 images together and came up with this. And this is true size as I even put in my true 01 dash parts in my 91.

One minor thing I ran into was the middle up/down vent hitting the glovebox and would have to cut the 1" off.
