so tonight i had to stay up till well..now due to needing to get boxes from walmart, and they don't stock till midnight so i took advantage of the time is should have been packin up the house and finished torquing the head installing the intake mani and exhaust mani and put in my new radiator, i think all i have left to do is drain the oil and put new stuff in, get new injector seals and put the fuel rail on and finish connecting wires, and get some grade 8 bolts for my exhaust then i should be able to fire it up.

Wow hope you get it back together soon. I am assuming you will be driving this and your wife will be driving whatever you have been using to pick up parts right?

that would be a mini van and YES she will lol, i have been pushin as hard as i could to get this thing done i am really tired of driving a dang van. however its not done due to buying a house

yeah not pleasent..wife used to drive a WJ but i ruined that for her...wrecked it and totaled it march 30th this year..

eww mine just wants to ride and off road in mine but doesn't really care if she drives it which is fine with me

mine beats the S**T out of my jeeps and trucks off road worse then i do, probably cause she knows i have to fix it not her. She likes drivin and ridin...gives me S**t for wrecking her jeep everyday, she wanted to lift in and throw some 31's on it.

i believe my wife will be the same way when i finally get her to actually drive it in an off road situation i haven't had to hear about wrecking anything of hers but i do get reminded of the ones of mine i have blown up or destroyed even though i make the money and do the fixing

same here i make the money and do the fixing..i hear an ear full about how many cars i buy and sell..but i always come back to jeeps, this one i am actually going to build by me like roof rack and all that not just go buy one..hopefully that will keep me interested and wanting to do more to it.

i agree i bought mine already lifted with the roof rack and lights etc. i have trimmed the fenders rattle can painted it sold the old rusty roof rack and going to make my own buy new lights that i want and install i have a homebrew front bumper that is half done at the moment but the cool thing is this is the first veh. in a long time that im trying to make the mods instead of just buying bolt on mods and calling it a day it keeps me wanting to do more than just settle on what would look like every other xj on the road thats lifted

exactly i get alot of inspiration fromt his site..and i see alot of things i like but can think of ways i could make it fit my style more. I just don't wanna do the buy and sell thing anymroe so i am doing everything i can to keep my self interested with this thing.

yea im doin the same i find so many great mods on here and sit back and wonder ok what can i do that will give the same affect but not an exact copy of there mod im thinking of making a snorkel and found a bunch of threads on making your own i just cant see spending $300 or $400 on something i know i can make for a third of the cost and be just as strong or stronger

yep, i have big plans for the jeep this time..last jeep i had was basically just a DD.

this is my 2nd jeep my first was a 78 Cherokee chief 2 door with a 360 and the all wheel drive with low 4 i miss that ugly pig but i have to say me not being a fuel injection kinda guy im really diggin this 4.0 motor it def has more torq than my 78 had but the 78 had what felt like more horses

yeah we had one of those when i was growing up, has some power thats for sure but i grew up around the 4.0 as well love both motors
