ok so I while back I found a 14 bolt rear end that was really cheap so I picked it up, already had 5.13 gears, Detroit locker, and disc conversion, so I picked that up real quick haha, then I started looking around for a dana 60 front axle, everyone was asking $500-$1500 for it, and I'm not cheap, I just have other stuff to pay for ( priorities sadly) then my buddy called me telling me he found an axle for $150 so I looked into it and it was a dana 60 1 ton axle and the guy wanted $150 for it, called him and long story short I traded a laptop I havent used in at least a year for it, so now I got a set or 1 ton axles, front is going to be pretty straight forward, 4 link 5.13 gears and locked. ok now for the rear, Im debating on if I want to go with coils or if I want to keep the leaf springs, I weld for a living so it wont be too tricky figuring out all the placements of brackets and whatnot, Im going to be running 6"-8" of lift and tire size is going to be between 38-42 if I find 44s for a good price I'll run those, Im going to line the entire unibody "Frame" with 3"x3" angle iron mainly because I can just take it at work, and MAYBE I'll stretch the wheelbase a bit, My heep wont be a straight crawler or mud heep, it'll be kin of universale i guess you can say, I like mud ( Im from outside chicago so there isnt too much else to do) but I like trail riding and I like all sorts of obsticles so I want something that can crawl and still go through mud like a champ. this is going to be a slower build, again Im from chicago and I do not have a garage, so i gotta wait til the snow and cold is gone to really start so for now Im going to start collecting parts, I have the coils and leafs for 6.5" lift but gotta get shocks, long arms, and possibly rear coils if I go that route, here are a few picks, and I'll update everything as I do stuff piece by piece, I do work a full time job, and a lot of overtime so again this might take a bit but hopefully itll be done by summertime, and my jeep is a 2 door 5 speed currently running a 3" lift and 33" swampers

Nice score!!

All I find around here are HP D60's made out of unobtainium with 4 digit price tags.

yea everyone wants crazy money for them, I got the 14b already done without brackets ( 5.13 gears and detroit locker) and disc conversion for $700, you can find regular 14b for around $200 but the front 60's thats different $500-$1500 everywhere, I got this one for cheap, sure its a balljoint 60 but I doubt I'll break it on an xj, plus anyone here with a kp thinks they have gold or something haha

Came out of a mid 90s f350 I gotta find single wheel hubs because currently they are dually hubs and I don't want it wider then it's already going to be haha

U can modify the hubs to be single wheel by cutting off the outer flange and machine the inner flange straight to accept the wheels. There's a link on pirate but I forgot where it's at.

ok so like I said this build is going a bit slower then I expected, recently got laid off but have plans for my tax return cash, my current issue is, I can get that front axle done done, and piece together a 6" lift or I can put the axle on hold and get an IRO 6.5" Long arm kit, both with cost me about the same, and I'll leave the rear coil for next winter, Im really just asking for opinions

I'd steer to a true 3 link if that is the route you want to go. B.Lee in the vendor section seems to have a nice kit. I'd piece it together, then you get everything you want down to the bolts.
