Those tires are treadwright.com MT-G tires.

Very nice! Pretty much the same thing I'm looking to do, Rubicon 3.5" and 31s. it won't be for a few years but thats my plan.

As OKCJeeper said, yes, they are Treadwright MT/G's, which are basically re-treaded Goodyear Wrangler MT/R's. I was a little skeptical ordering them but they are great and they are CHEAP, they also re-tread BFG A/T's, among others, check it out!

It looks great.

But do everyone a favor and replace that bolt in the track bar with a grade 8. Grade 5 hardware with deform and stretch with less of a side load.

Thanks for the advice, the grade 8 looked so darn fancy I had to replace the whole track bar to match up to its quality (plus it's a Rock Krawler adjustable double shear one)

Looks beautiful in green, and the lift is about as high as I'd like to take mine someday. Keep us updated on how everything works out, and definitely add some trail pics!

that looks really good! i've got almost the same lift on mine. they messed up when they sent me my lift from rubicon express though. instead of a 3.5 they sent me a 5.5 so i went ahead and installed it. i had to drop the t-case 1 inch, use 6 degree shims on the rear. i also had to clearance my slip yoke on my drive shaft (had a little rubbing). but i gotta ask, why did you relocate your track bar? i didn't do this...should i?

Awesome setup! I'm looking to do this same exact lift and M/T-G tires. I've got the soft 8's too.

First question:
I don't have off road tires right now so I'm wondering if the M/T-G's would be too aggressive for me. Since they will mainly be used on the roads. Would I be better off if I got A/T's?

Second Question:
Are the M/T-G's loud on the road?

The tires are holding up very well! I can't say enough good things about them, I have over 1000 miles on them now and they have broken in nicely, they're a bit quieter now than they were when brand new, but you can't really see any treadwear at all. They are GRIPPY! Even on the road, they stick to the pavement alot better than my old AT's did. Who would of thought you can lift a jeep, put mud tires on it, and then drive it like a sports car?

Yes, it should have said something about it in your instructions in fact. When you lift it, since the stock track bar isn't adjustable, it ends up pushing your front axle out on the drivers side of the vehicle. I relocated my stock one temporarily until I could afford an adjustable one, which centered the axle underneath the front again.

If you can afford it, buy an adjustable one instead of relocating your stock one. Relocating works (kinda) but it's a really poor way to remedy the problem. Check out this one I ended up getting:

It's made by Rock Krawler. It was 200 bucks shipped from MotionOffroad.com. I did a lot of research and figured out this is got to be hands down the best track bar money can buy, and it's cheaper than a lot of the competition. It's SOLID steel (Not tubing!), and came with a new frame-end double sheer mounting bracket, plus a lifetime warranty!

I did a lot of research and

I guess it depends what kind of offroading you do, when you do go offroad. I think the AT's would probably grip just about as well on the dry stuff. I do most of my wheeling on dry trails, but when I do get stuck, it always seems to be in mud or snow, so that's why I got the MT/G's.

The MT/G's aren't "loud", but they do make a little bit of a hum. It's nothing like what you hear when you see some monster truck with 44" super swampers coming down the road though, just a subtle hum. They actually perform really well on the pavement though!

I really like the way your XJ looks now. You did a great job trimming.
