Just ordered the "first responder" 60" hi-lift jack.
If you haven't seen what it can do, watch this:
(The first :0:40 secs is a history lesson by after that is the jack)

A bright yellow color. Reflective trim on working controls. A new base designed to straddle cribbing and secure into chain. A new top clamp designed with several features to allow for pulling, clamping and lifting.
The rated capacity for all functions is 4, 660 pounds although the jack actually has a capacity of 7,000lbs of lift. The internal shear pin gives you a 150% safety rating limit of 4,660 lbs.

Not too too much difference from other Hi-Lift 60" jacks. but the little things matter: (plus i wouldn't buy generic jacks, i rather have quality)

I can't say I'd pay that extra for a glow in the dark jack with a piece of 2x8 C channel attached to the bottom but at least it looks cool.

I guess you'd have to be a fire fighter or been one too see it as a difference. When I was a volunteer FF I see where these little things could help.
