Default Want more lift

I have a 5" suspension lift in my jeep. But I want to add another 2-3"s of lift without spending $3,000. Is there anything affordable I can do?

Well it depends on what you have done to get to 5 inches of lift.

Your description doesnt tell us much..... Need to know what kind of trac bar you have? How was the rear lifted... AAL, Leaf pack, Shackle, blocks, how was it accomplished? DO you have a SYE? T-case drop?

Really going over 4.5 affects a lot of things, and it gets expensive once you go over that. Also need to know what kind of fab skills you have?

what do you feel the need to have 7-8" of lift? i just dont get why people want to go insanly high. unless they want form over function. i think 6" would be max id ever want to ever go. then trim to fit. thinking keeping low center of gravity.

I have leaf pack in the back. Adjustable shackles. But maxed out right now. I live in a swamp. Hence I need bigger tires. I'm running 33's but need to go bigger (35's-36's). I can fab, already had to on the body. My track bar is factory. Just replaced all steering components except for steering box (which I'm getting ready to do soon) ive wanted to upgrade the track bar.

you should be able to fit them 35/36s with just the 5" of lift your running now. that is with proper triming and fab work. you say you got the fab skills so that wouldnt be too hard to do then. but thats just me,i like rocks waaaay more than mud and there you want a low center of gravity. mud well we all know big tires and horsepower play a good role for that mucky stuff lol. but still im sure you can make them fit just fine. heck a good enough fab work you can fit them under stock suspension, thats if you want to go that far.

I am clearing 36's on 6.5" and I will be dropping my rig down here soon. My goal is 4.5" and 36's.

On my truggy... I will be even lower clearing 39's. Currently my frame rails on the xj are at 23" My truggy will be at 20"

I have alot of fallen trees I'm driving over and deep muck that's why I'm trying to go taller, I also like the pretty much stock look of the body. Didn't know if there was anyway to lift it more without redoing the whole suspension again.

Some folks don't have anything g to crawl on. Some folks are forced to deal with mud and swamp.

Try swamp running with as little lift as you can. It will end poorly.

i agree and disagree to a point. bigger tires and lockers/gearing is where the majority of the help is to survive maybe a little power oh and water proofing lol. but yeah it does help too to keep the fame and body up out of the muck. like i said i agree and disagree with the necessity to need gobs of lift.
