my friend takes his tj to bigfoot to get eveything done, he hasnt put anything on his jeep himself but he say big foot is cheap but i dont think it is. maybe its becasue i never buy anything new or as a whole
I would say for custom fab work, and suspension work, go to Iron Pig Off-Road in Fredericksburg. I met them, and was VERY impressed... or go to Steve at X-Treme. He is in the same area.
I had my Jeep lifted and bumpers installed at BigFoot. They for the most part did a good job. They got everything done, powdercoated, and installed with no issues. Afterwards I had a couple minor issues, they resolved them quickly with no fuss.
Bigfoot did drop the ball on getting me prices on a couple smaller things, few hundred bucks, they just simply did not call me back, and I then mail-ordered stuff since they couldn't be bothered. I was TRYING to spend my $$ locally. Also, they didn't adjust my steering to straighten the wheel. Said the parts were "out of threads". Got it home with Travis D. and there were a TON of threads. So they missed that. Bigfoot want the big jobs... my buddy said they flat out DO NOT HAVE TIME to mess with small jobs, as they back up the $5,000+ lifts and custom work. So I won't be going back. Take that for what it is worth.
I'll try Iron Pig or I will go to Steve at X-Treme. He has taken money out of his pocket to help me, and I believe technically he is spot on with Jeep work. Also does nice welding and custom work. Iron Pig guys spent about half an hour with me telling me who they are, what they are about, and giving me a tour of the shop.
Pro Trucks on 218 I do not recommend. I went in there, spoke with the owner, we e-mailed back and forth, and things just fizzled. I thinkt that guy has way too many guys with huge deep pockets tossing money at him. He wanted to sell me crazy expensive stuff for my silly mall crawler. No thanks. He also didn't want to break down the prices per item, just wanted to give me a total for the entire job. BigFoot had no problem itemizing for me for insurance purposes.
