Can a 98 xj se pull a military m101a or 102?

 

Absolutely. They weigh about 1,350lbs dry, and I doubt you're going to load up more than 1,000lbs in gear which still keeps you below half the XJ's tow rating. My only issue with them is how wide they are (73.5"). Makes it a little difficult negotiating some trails with one.

 

Ya I know I'd rather a 416 but can never finde one at a good price

Yeah buddy! Nothing intense, but definitely a fun trip. Should have the LA's in for it too! It'll be like riding in a caddy up there

 

OK so I have my 4.88 gears installed and was wondering if there is a way to drop my RPM's? Going 50 mph my RPM's sit at 2k

 

Welcome to having low gears. It's the nature of the beast unfortunately.

 

Take your foot off the gas? :-)
