Here is mine. I catch BS all the time for having it there but its there for a couple of good reasons that i learned from the Aussie's. 1) I get super low SWR readings and 2) it will fold down flat on the hood should I go through thick brush as I often do.

When is the last time you ran bobblets? Last time we were up there it was SUPER washed out. The ruts were 3 foot deep in some spots. The guy i was with was 3.5 on 31's and got hung up a few spots.

I agree, you do need recovery points to run Potts. The bypass is rough at best and even on 35's locked/locked i spin a little going up at "rocker knocker" and the "stacks" are dug out bad. We stacked rock in the hole at the stacks some as big as 200# to fill it in so the smaller rigs would have a fighting chance. Its still doable on 31's with at least one locker but i recommend 33's and F/R locked to run it clean with no cable pulled.

I was up there 3 months ago, I didn't see where it was that bad but it could be by now if folks are running it hard.

Locked front/LS rear, 31s, five inches of lift, rock rails, winch (not used yet), and willing to help Jon get through Potts . I'm game for Potts.
The pics are Rockheadsson working under the hood after breaking an engine mount coming off that rock up on Potts.

Pic problem. I couldn't post those pics because they were taken with a different camera, big file. How about these pics, Rockhead pulling Rockheadsson off of a rock he got hung up on.

So, a friend of mine was on broad run the other day and actually got pulled over by a forest service officer in a stock zj with an arb bumper and a winch. He assumed my buddy had been drinking and asked to do a breathalizer and drunk tests. He passed and they got on the subject of why all the stuff back there was shut down or blocked. The officer confirmed that a bunch of high school kids were going back there and getting drunk and such. He asked where is it legal to go now, he told him patterson creek (i though this was closed?) brushy mtn, potts (he claimed his zj had been up it many times) and a place called butt mtn? Has anyone heard of this trail? Apparentyly fenwick mine is still technically open but dangerous now.

Patterson is just like Broad Run, boring, you can take a car through there. Never heard of Butt Mtn, and I'm almost 100% positive that Fenwick is closed.
Picks of Patterson;
If you drive all the way through you come out on the old RR bed at Eagle Rock. This is the RR bridge that still stands.
Bobcat, it closed 4 years ago;
Coal Hill at Bobcat;
I have picks of Fenwick as well, its just they are so old they are not in my PB account!
Rocker Knocker at the "Bypass" on Potts
Another place that is closed, Mountain City TN "Callahlente" on "Welder"
I guess what I'm getting at is most places that I use to wheel is now closed! People tread lightly and stay on the trail so our kids and grandkids can enjoy them as well.

He said that brushy is only open up to the gate. As far as the rest i have no idea i'm just going off what i was told.
Do you have directions to patterson creek? If nothing else it's something new and a nice sunday drive for us.Where exactly in eagle rock does it come out? That bridge looks familiar.
