I'm going on a three day wheeling/camping trip with a bunch of my buddies. I've been before, so have most of them.

I'm wondering if there are any updates on parts of it being closed, and events being held there, and any one already planning their trip there on the weekend of July 25,26,27.

Also I'm current at ends with my girlfriend about leaving about 5pm (since no one wants to take off work!) to head up there. She's afraid of driving up mountains after dark (I'm not, offroad lights for a reason), and that there won't be any camping sites left. Can you guys give me your opinions on those issues?
