I just finished bolting up my new front bumper. The bumper was made by my friend Marc who's shop is in Manassas VA. My bumper was made to order, I drew what I wanted and Marc made it. Fit is great and finish is very good, it is painted as I requested; flat black. I have another thread in Mid Atlantic titled "Rear bumper install" which shows the rear bumper. I wanted the front and rear bumpers to be similar, compliment each other, but they are very functional.
If anyone is interested, Marc's number is 703-296-1875.
His starting prices are Rear Bumper $180 and Front Bumper $380.
Marc will fabricate roll cages and other safety items too.
Mention my name (Rockhead) if you call him, maybe (and that's a big maybe) I'll get a small discount on my next project.

Not trolls... just stating for the money you paid you think he could have spent 30 minutes with a flap wheel on it. It doesnt matter how good you can fab, if you cant make it look like a Welder did it... not a hack

Troll fits for at least one of the posts. Ok, I guess that I need to be a little more clear in my posts. Like I said in my last post, I didn't pay Marc's price for a finished bumper. When I asked Marc to make my self designed front bumper I asked for the rough look, I did not want smooth polished bumpers. I like the looks of my bumpers so I posted pics of them, big mistake for Marc I guess. Marc works in a custom bike and auto shop that produces show vehicles, very nice stuff. The next time I'm at his shop I'll get some pics of some of his finished work and post them. I don't want to do this guy a disservice. The last time I was in his shop they were working on an early sixties mustang show car and Marc was welding in a roll cage with welded spider webs in the corners, looked cool.
So you intentionally had the welds look bad? They look like he forgot to turn the gas on and just burned them together. Went back and took a second look and even the cuts are bad.
You may have wanted a rough look, but I don't trust a welder who would put his name out there on a finished product looking like that.

Cause his work looks like crap.. When I build anything It has my name on it, I want it to showcase my work, not embarass me. Like I pointed out earlier.. I grind my welds if they dont look perfect, but if they look like stack dimes I leave them alone.
As for what Marc is capable of... if I was looking for a bumper builder I would go right past him cause his finished work looks like something you would see in a high school shop class.

I figured I may look at the thread and see another potential vendor and a good priced bumper...
It doesnt look awful but the welds as well as the entire thing could be cleaned up. Take peoples comments with a grain of salt...people are going to criticize others works no matter what.
