Hey, just got another XJ from a fellow forum member that had overheated, i knew it needed a head and gasket but found out it has a little rod knock going on. I was just wondering if anyone has a good running complete 4.0 or if they know of one for my 99? I live in OH but my dad lives and works around Charlotte and since I bought the Jeep from down there not running it was towed to his shop, where it will stay until I can locate a motor and come down to install it and drive it home!
Any help would be greatly apprecaited!

 

Ive never checked if it works... but we have a 4.0 with 120k out of a 95 ZJ... if it will work, shoot me a PM, its a good price, just not sure if it will work for you and my buddy who owns it has lost interest in posting it (Not much for computers)

 

Well I have been told that a 96-99 XJ 4.0 is the way to go, I personally don't know what if any differences there are, but I did find a 4.0 out of another 99 with 90k complete with 6 month 6k warranty for $450 from a reputable shop my dad deals with.
So I think that may be the way to go!
