Hey Moose!

I'm in the Cleveland area and pretty much stock if you want to roll sometime. I don't know anywhere good to go unfortunately. A lot of posted land and I don't know anyone willing to give access.

Maybe there are others in the area?

Hell yeah man! Finally been dying for someone to post! I'd LOVE to go sometime. I have yet to go wheeling in small stuff by myself.

I went to Uwharrie mid-May and hit the easy stuff and went up the backside of Daniel.

Around here though, there has been nothing. I haven't really "searched" anything out though. I read that some CJ/YJ/TJ/JK folks go up to RTP near Page road and TW Alexander, but hear it isn't for the stock folks unfortunately.

I don't have any recovery points, not even a stock receiver, so I don't anticipate doing anything super crazy like mud pits. That's just asking for trouble. I may go to LKQ though and snag something. I was there a few weeks ago for injectors and there are several XJs to pick from.

I'm down for finding something around here though, even if it is easy.

I've not been to uwharrie and never herd of Daniel.

I've been serching hard past few weeks and I've gotten no replys from anyone. There's a private owned property with a crazy trails (for the beefed up jeeps) right down the street from me off Oregon tr. there's a short video if you search it on YouTube. I don't have recovery points either lol. I need to grab a bulb for my hitch and I'd have that but from points I've got nothing. I actually planed to go there and pic up a lug cover for my right front tire lol just haven't found the time to go yet. I found this place off 50 but it didn't look like much looks like few people go back there. But it as dry as a bone last time I went so it was rocky as hell lol. Maybe we can get someone else around here.

I asked on the wrangler forum was TW was but no one would answer. There's also something off rock quarry road but some guy said its regularly patrolled by cops now...

As for TW Alexander it is the area behind LabCorp. One way to enter is through one of the drives at their parking lot. Another entrance is off of Page road. I don't know if it is posted a private or not, but read on the wrangler forum that folks have been back there. There are several videos on youtube as well.

Where on 50 are you talking about? I'm not far from 50/210.

In you're case you'd come down 50 and when 50 meets 42 you take a left onto 42 go down and it should be a break off the road on the left.

Oh really? Wasn't paying a whole lot of attention considering it being deathly dry and I had a break problem at the time. (Caliper was getting stuck causing the rotor to smoke it go so hot.) and I was by myself lol.

Would love to go, but I'll be at Ft. Bragg this weekend. Any set schedule weekend that you go? Or just whenever?

v/r,
Paul
