LOL! Nice! I take it the pics worked? They aren't the best pics in the world and a few were kinda old as I lost a bunch when my comp. craped out on me.
Well if any of your group decide to come up sometime, I'm only 30 - 40 mins from the trail head and our group is up there right much. During the warmer weather were up there almost every weekend. Feel free to pm me anytime about running!

If enough of the group wants to go, I will probably ride along but I can't see spending the coin to tote my jeep, and if I don't tote mine Jason can use the trailer more than likely so that works anyway. Might bring the go cart lol

Biggest thing is that we are planning a Gulches trip for Presidents Day weekend. The Park is having some money troubles and multiple clubs are planning to make the haul to show our support. So that is currently my priority, and with funds being super tight already I just don't know about this one. Also, not a big fan of the real easy trails, URE is boring at this point.

Thats fine and totally understandable. As far as a "easy" trail. Yeah, it is but the obstacles are some fun. I know the feeling. As far as it goes to me... I run my stock Cherokee through it and have a great time! My Samurai doesn't even get put into 4wd unless I'm playing on something.
DoCart? As far as bringing a trailer.... unless you have a place to drop it I wouldn't because there is no where really to park one unless you know someone or someplace in the area to drop.

Go Cart, lol my dad ran it at URE, and I ran it at the URE adventures race course at night, its a blast and if a stock xj can run the trails the go cart wont have any issues Lol.
Go cart can run about 40-45 mph, has some cheapo coilovers, etc...
I tried to look up this trail and found nothing about it, is this illegal wheeling or what?
Jason wants to tow his incase of breakage, but if Stockers can run it without problems I wonder how worthwhile this will be for Jason? How does it compare to URE

Anything that can be tagged, insured and legal to drive on the street is allowed on ShoeCreek. Its a public trail system. As far as compared to URE. Its not. I mean, there are rocks to crawl is some spots. HardCore its not. However its a fun Trail. It's only a single trail though. There are no side trails like URE. There is a beginning and a end. Anything over a 3.5" lift 33" or taller tire and at least one locker will be fine. The trail itself has its spots and obstacles.
The reason for this post was to see if anyone just wanted to head out and hit a trail. Don't get me wrong, buts its NOT a very aggressive trail. I run my STOCK Cherokee through it. However there are spots a stock truck WON'T go.
Please keep this posted up, pm me if you would like to join our (local) group and meet somewhere.
So so far I have listed going. . . . please add . . . if interested just put you name and interested.

OK, There is a Food Lion in Lovingston, Va. that is about 15-20 mins from the trail head. For some this may be a meeting spot that is easier for you.
The info on the Food Lion is ...
Food Lion
85 Callohill dr
Lovingston, VA 22949
It is off 29. Visible actually from 29.
Another spot that may be easier for some is my house. The local group here usually meet at my house, then meet others (depending) at the FL.
I don't like to give my info out over the webs so if you need it or are wanting to meet our group at my place and head out you're more than welcome to.
I will say that I am In Lynchburg, Va. Off Campbell Ave. right off of 460. 1 mile past Liberty University.
PM me for my Address. We will be trying to meet at my place around 8:30am and leaving by 9:00am unless something comes up.

I might try and make it up there. Depends on whether or not I get a cherokee (all ready just have to pay and pick up) and get it all squared away. Then of course I could be in the middle of the ocean then too....

Looks like this is shaping up to be a nice group...HELL YEAH! Now let's just hope the weather holds out and people don't back out last minute. Been wanting to get back to the trail for a while now.
