If yout from The ABE area, 8th street in Windgap is a good place to go, not sure if anyone has mentioned it in this thread yet, i've always heard it called 8th street cause you drive up the center street in town towards Saylorsburg and onse you hit 8th street bang a left on it and follow it back. You will cross a bridge that goes over the highway and you will pass a couple houses. There is a sign that says it's patrolled by police but i've never seen any and none of my buddies that go up there have ever run into any problems. The base trail is mostly like whoops (up and down little hilly kinda things, it's not like washboarded) i followed it back to a sizeable mud pit one winter when my jeep was mostly still stock so i turned around cause i was alone. There are other trails that branch off and go up the mountain and i've been told it you follow the base trail back far enough you come out on another paved road somewhere. Anyway for whats it worth hope this info can help someone i've been dying to go wheeling for the past year, i've been away from my jeep for a whole year and it's killing me. Happy wheeling.

Hey everybody, if you still want to find some places to wheel, feel free to join a club a few buddies and I made. We have members from the Lehigh Valley, western PA, and even South Jersey. I know this thread is old, but it doesn't hurt to spread the word of local trails. Many of us can't go up to Rausch Creek or travel very far, so access to local trails is very nice for a little weekend fun. We have a trail map posted for anyone to add to, and it's growing nicely. A few members actually posted in this thread previously, so you know a little more on it. Hope to see you join! https://www.facebook.com/groups/167595800030737/

The trail map up at the top of the club facebook page should list everything. It's a pinned post with a link to a map. Welcome to U.O.A.!
