I just replaced my leaking power steering pump yesterday.
Definitely doing before April 15:
-Install new leaf packs
-Lower Adj control arms
-Replace leaking pinion seals
-Replace thermostat housing gasket (tiny leak)
-Prob need rear brake shoes
Hope to get done before April 15
-Repair holes rusted through the floor
-Repair drivers door hinge and make hinge modification so doors can come off

I am happy for you also and good luck with everything
. You could always go to RC another time and I will most likely be looking to go again during the summer sometime. Let me know if you are trying to go another time. Maybe we could catch up for a 43 run or somewhere else sometime. I ran back there last Saturday for a lil bit since I was driving past there.

Your lists are so small and cute.
I have the front axle out of my jeep,
Swapping in a hp30,
That's getting a total rebuild,
The rear is getting new gears, seals, bearings, and a posi,
The crossmember has to be rebuilt,
To accept the longer control arms I have to fab out of DOM tubing,
And the engine, tranny, t case, and gas tank skids all have to be designed and fabbed. I have to change the oil, (all of it, engine, tranny, both diffs, t case) do the taurus fan swap, put in new tranny cooler lines, rewire the cb. Rotate my tires, don't forget to do the axle swap I have to design and fab all new mounting locations for the LCA, spring perches, track bar mount, swaybar mounts, and design and fab a high steer system.
Here's the kicker. I only have three more weeks to get this all done. I go to Wyotech and am in class doing all this work. I have this as an advantage though, here's why.
I can spend 8 hours a day working on this, I have all the tools I may need for the job, I have extra hands form friends in class, and I have a knowledgeable instructor to guide me through the harder parts I can't figure out on my own.

Hey double ot xj....you suck, LOL. I am jealous and wish I had the arrangement that you do. I don't have a welder or know how to weld, don't have the money, a nice shop with everything I would need, or an experts help if needed. I have to work on my xj out front of my townhouse with hand tools. There are many things that I would like to do to mine including bumpers and sliders, but am stuck buying things like that since I cannot fab them. You make me want to enroll at Wyotech for all the perks.

Hey free jeep, if you can afford the 30,000 for tuition and have a year to go to school, go for it. I would suggest taking diesel core with chassis fab. That combination has the best chances for employment afterward and also has one of the best classes in it for welding.
