Poconos off-roading
Hey guys... I recently purchased a 2WD cherokee (I know, but I only paid $1k and plan to drive it daily for a year or so, then give it to a family member) Anyway... the poconos really has some beautiful areas as far as trails and mountain/scenic areas, waterfalls and stuff. I am not familiar with specific ones, but does anyone know of any areas that a 2WD cherokee would have no problem doing some light trailing in the woods? Maybe a group of you guys that go to places around here? I know my options are pretty limited with 2WD, but I still have the ground clearance and new tires, so I don't see why a little fun can't be had in some light trails on a dry day. Anyway, if anyone has any info, I would appreciate it!

Make your way to NJ, off Edison road, Sparta Mountain.
Few sand pits, hills, small puddles, than you go up the mountain, not too steep, at the top there is something like a plateau. Its really nice up there and I never had to drop mine into 4wd at any point.

If you or any other guys plan on going, let me know. I might give it a try, but I would hate to get stuck without another vehicle to haul my sorry 2wd *** out if need be. I still might give it a try, but I am already regretting the 2wd!!! When that happens, I just remind myself of what I paid.
