its not in south Philly, its in southwest Philly(big difference) I grew up in SWP and have been back there a lot. Cops will leave you alone. It is illeagle the same way that jaywalking is illeagle.

Trespassing is trespassing. Its frowned upon in the wheeling community.

Lack of posting or signs does not change the fact that your trespassing. Is it your property, or do you have permission from the land owner? Because someone else trespassed doesnt make it ok for others to follow suit.

I'd love to hear the argument in front of the Judge when they try fighting a fine because there were no signs.

I know it trespassing but the only time I see the cop down there writing fine is for those dumb a$$ that r ride their quad and dirt bike on the street I actually had a cop pull me over and ask if he could hop in with me and go for a ride to see what the big deal of off roading is that was one crazy day

I would never ride anywhere that i knew was illegal, but this place is kind of like no other. There is no land use of any kind except for atvs and 4x4s. There are both back there every single day. Like said above the only hassle is the kids with the dirtbikes and atvs on the streets leading to the trails. Even the 4x4 Security Ford Explorers slide and ride with us once in awhile. If i am with someone, back where everyone goes, and we get fined, i will pay them all.

I hear what your saying.. really.

However, it's not the ATVers who are giving Jeepers a bad reputation.. it's Jeepers such as those who willingly trespass in illegal areas that do so.

Wait'll the next guy gets hurt back there, and the airport has to fight a legal case. The LEO's will be ticketing everyone. It wont be the first time this has happened either..

I guess im just partial to this place because its 13 minutes from my house, been going there for 10 years, and have never seen or heard of any problems or warnings from police or security. Plus when the planes fly overhead like 100' above you, its pretty darn cool. Also, i always give the right of way to a dirtbike or atv if we have to cross paths. Everyone is there to have fun and i like to keep it that way.
