yeah... Theyre staying on for now but once i decide what i wanna do, spend $20 to rebuild, or get rid of them

 

Take them off now....I guarantee they leak, and they will do nothing but hold **** in there.... Decide to rebuild or trash after removed

 

yeah, i need a slide hammer though, theyre in there good right now

This is why you torque u-bolts. Before and after.

The spring shifted and snapped the center bolt, then the leaves shifted. Talk about a ***** to get them lined back up.

 

I believe you torqued them when we put your shims in..... I snugged them with my gun, then let you tighten them..... I've never had an issue like that doing it my way, so sounds like my way is better haha

 

can you please put up more pics of your jeep with the carrier? I'd like to build one with it angled and off to the same side as yours
