Yeah there's a bigger market for it.

Which rebuild kit is good? Which chain should I go with?

Anyone know what type of unions that would have welding positions, other than pipefitter and boilermakers?

I'm getting tired of my job lol. Need to find new work

Oil and gas industry pays big, but you might have to move to Alberta.
Underwater welders make big money, but I understand it is one of the most dangerous jobs there is.
Ironworkers union? Welding at 1000 feet on a skyscraper.

Quote: How much a transfer case freshly rebuilt with a SYE is worth?
Retail, a remanufactured TC with HD chain, new seals and bearings, No SYE, is $550
However, some try to sell them for $600-$800.

They don't allow deaf people to operate as underwater welders, I did research on that.

I figured as much..
Shipbuilding is union. I have a friend that welds in the bowels of ships. One of the largest yards in the world is in Newport News, VA. Along with smaller yards and industries in the same area.
The U.S. Navy and naval construction/pier work is also big there. Tidewater area. Consists of Norfolk,Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Suffolk,Newport News, Hampton, Ft.Eustis and more...

Yeah I try to stay from the Philadelphia ship yards. They discriminate against deaf people there, I know few deaf welders there, they say they are miserable working there but they stay for money

I understand shipbuilding work can be miserable in itself . I do believe the type people would differ in this area along with perhaps a different mentality and outlook.
